| so though i may not be posting, i still like songs, so heres a song if anyone stumbles in | | |
| so i guess no one really missed my posts because no one commented? that just means that now im not going to spend time doing this | | |
| so anyways, it is time for a much needed update..
its been too long for me to write everything thats happened, considering its been almost 3 months since ive really updated...
anyways, i guess ill just start with summer, which i can sum up in about 2 sentences
ive sat on my butt doing nothing while going over to joes house to hang out. the occasional drive to jamba juice or going over to someone elses house would occur but for the most part we would get entertained by his brother tim
last week we had leadership camp, which was fun.
we arrived at school at 9:30, when we began to stuff envelopes for all the band members and got those sent out.. then we loaded the buses, and went to the cici's about 15 mins outside of kaiserhof, which was a good meal for the price... which was... ummm... free! when we arrived there we unloaded the bus and put all of our stuff in the bunk houses... when we were done with that we cleared out the pavilion of all the tables, which there were a lot of. the only people doing this were the guys, i have no idea why the girls took so long to put their stuff in the bunk houses, but oh well... it wasn't that much of a chore to move them.. anyways, after we got settled in we got right to work. im not going to disclose the details as to what the topic of our meetings are, but just know that our leadership team is the best one we've had thus far... for dinner, we got partnered up and were told to find out everything about our partner and his/her life. after dinner we headed out to the pavilion to march. after this we had a 10 min break and met in the green room to watch a movie. we watched 12 angry men, which is a movie i have always loved. after the movie, we went back to the bunk houses at about 12, and attempted to get some sleep, as i started to attempt to fall asleep, i was interrupted by a very loud noise, which turned out to be none other than troyka snoring, fun stuff
i didn't get many hours of sleep that night.... the next day we woke up at 7, and went into the dining hall to stretch before breakfast. after the stretch, we paired up with our partners and the new leaders where blindfolded for breakfast and the walk back to the green room. joe'l was my partner, and i have to say i took very good care of him. we went in the green room and discussed the activity. for lunch, the new leaders were given bandanas with labels attached to them, which they weren't able to see. the job of the experienced leaders was to treat these people as the labels said, and nothing more. i have to say it was very hard for me to treat most of the people this way, because some of it was pretty harsh, i will not disclose these details either, because some of you reading this might be future leaders. after this activity, we proceded to have a 4 hour long meeting in the green room, leaders only, where we discussed this years changes... after the meeting, we prepared for the evening activity during dinner... it was the veteran leaders turn to become blindfolded, but this time they couldn't use their arms either.. so joe'l had to put my shoes on for me, walk me, and feed me... i was completely dependent on him. we made a pretty good team for this activity, unlike nick and alexis, who made a huge mess. we went back into the green room and also discussed this activity, and then went to get our items to share. very interesting stories from some.... after we shared, we were given the option of going back to the bunk houses, or going swimming. most people chose swimming, but not joe or me. we stayed in the bunk house and took the oppurtunity to relax and create a new language.. inside joke, and i don't feel like explaining. i fell asleep fairly quickly that night, which was good, because i needed the sleep.
the next morning, we woke up at 7:30, and packed our things. it was storming out side, so i was given the luxury of hauling me and 3 other guys up to the dining hall in troyka's car. after breakfast, the rain let up so we were able to walk back to the green room, after we put all the tables back in the pavilion. while in the green room we talked for about 2 hrs before packing up and heading out... on the way home, we stopped at chic-fil-a for lunch, where i saw some boy try to jump on a pole, missed, and landed flat on his back. the boy immediately started crying and ran to his mom. 30 mins after later, when we were leaving, i passed the boy as he was still crying... i swear, he was only doing it for attention... when we got back to school, we were asked to help put labels on envelopes for the freshman orientation... i arrived home after dropping joe off, and i immediately fell asleep...
since then i've been hanging out and waiting for july 23, when i will go to san antonio and see david carr's skinny ass lol... he lost somewhere around 30 pounds, last time i talked to him it was 25, and ive been hearing people say 30, 27, 25, so im going to go with 30
well anyways, im going to go, and ill ttyl

| ill update later... promise | | |
| hey guys, its been about a month since i last updated, so i figure nows a perfect time.
im going to talk about the trip
so we left friday after school, and went to the woodlands mall. after scarfing down a huge slice of pizza, and waiting for daniel to eat his burger and fries, we ventured over to brookstone where we indulged ourselves with the most comfortable bed ive ever layed on. it was a supreme matress with a supreme matress pillow from tamper pedic. omg. it was so comfortable, i layed down in that thing, and my body just sank into it. there was no position that i layed in that was uncomfortable, and i almost fell asleep on it. it was beautiful. we got back on the bus and 4 hrs later we were in dallas, checked into our hotel, and waiting for the chaperones to come up to the room to make sure we were all there, and to take up our cell phones. but that didn't stop us, because the night was still young. my four roomates, joe, both daniels, and tyler, and i decided to have a late night wrestling match. now for me joe and daniel, it was just a continuation of state, because we wrestled at state, but with the new additions to the free for all, it made the game much more interesting. tyler won, but only because hes so freaking swole. its not right..
the next day we woke up at 7 and had breakfast and rehearsal and stuff, and then went to perform. oh my goodness, profanation sounded so awesome. we listened to the recording today in class, and man, my high stuff sounded so awesome. we swept the competition with all of our bands. it was awesome. we got 8 trophys. we went back to the hotel, and got changed and went to medieval times. sounds corny? you have no idea... seriously.. it was so awesome. for about the first hour or so it was boring, but when the fighting started, it got intense. with the exception of a few errors in making some moves look too choreographed, it was really awesome. they were smacking the crap out of the swords and the and shields. everytime the swords would collide hard, sparks would fly. turned out that our knight won. he was awesome, though i have to say that the green knight was a bad ass. we went back to the hotel after it was over, and me and my roomates, seeing as it was still early in teh evening, decided to play a little hide and go seek in the dark. it was fun for awhile, but then we got tired and went to bed.
next day we got up and went to six flags in arlington, we were there from opening until close, a whole 8 hours. first ride i rode was the titan, which was so high and fast, it was unreal. it took to minutes to get to the top of the drop, and it feel with an 80 degree drop and went all the way to the ground. it was crazy, coming out of that drop, i swear it was about 2 or 3 g's, it was crazy and i wasn't able to lift my neck. next i rode the giant, it was voted the best wooden roller coaster in the world, and it was so rough, that my wallet fell out during the ride. it sucked so much, it almost ruined my day, except for the fact that they found it 30 mins later, so that was a good thing. but after those two rides, the others just didn't live up. so the rest im not going to write about.
we left monday morning, and once again stopped at the woodlands mall. where do you think i went? well first i went to a knife and sword store, they had like samurai swords and stuff, but then i went to brookstone, where i once again indulged myself with the wonderful bed. i found out it costs about 3,100 for a king size bed. yes yes yes its very expensive, but oh so worth it. it was so comfortable.
well anyway, i think ive updated enough, and im going to leave it at that
comment, you know you want to
i love you sarah, one more week
